DTEK continues to restore electricity: power was restored to more than 7,000 families in the Donetsk region

On August 22, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to conduct emergency and restoration activities for residents of 30 settlements, de-energized due to shelling, thus restoring power to more than 7,000 families in the Donetsk region.

Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to completely or partially restore electricity to residents of 30 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring power to homes of 7,225 families in Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk and Bakhmut districts.

Energy workers managed to obtain a permit for work performance from the military and perform repairs in a number of communities that suffer from constant shelling. In particular, electricity was restored to 3,300 families in Bakhmut community, 1,500 families in Avdiivka community and over 1,000 families in Sloviansk community. Specialists of the energy company have also repaired a number of damages in Marinka, Kostiantynivka, Toretsk and Kramatorsk communities.

Shelling is underway in the Donetsk region. The enemy does not give up attempts to attack. The most difficult directions are Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. 83 settlements remain without electricity, as energy workers do not have a permit for works performance from the military and are unable to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
