DTEK has restored electricity to 9,200 households in the Donetsk region
On June 28, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to access some sites of damaged equipment, where permitted by the military, and repair it, thus restoring electricity to 9,285 households in 8 settlements.
Yesterday, energy workers were working in the very difficult areas of Toretsk, Sloviansk and Bakhmut. The majority of households that they were able to connect were in the area of Toretsk – almost 4,000. The areas of Sloviansk and Bakhmut had 2,600 families connected, each.
Donetsk region continues to be subject to massive artillery shelling, air assaults and missile strikes. Hostilities are underway, constantly destroying electrical infrastructure of the region. We ask our customers to treat the situation with understanding. We will repair the grids in the region as soon as it will become possible.
318 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is in the areas of Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers have to wait for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to perform repairs.
