Dual education at DTEK Kyiv Grids: over 100 students chose their path in the energy industry

In the first half of 2025, DTEK Kyiv Grids continues to actively expand the dual education project, which combines theoretical study and practical training at the enterprise. Such an approach provides the students with an opportunity to acquire practical skills, and the company — to form a talent pool of young specialists.

Since the launch of the project, it has attracted 104 students. In the first half of the year, the partner network includes six educational establishments (4 universities and 2 colleges). We are actively working with them.

“We don’t just introduce students to the energy industry – we let them see the operational processes for themselves, provide them with an opportunity to try themselves in one or another energy profession, to understand how the energy industry functions and the most important – we help them make the right choice. Our task is to replenish the staff with young ambitious specialists; therefore, we make efforts to interest young people, inspiring them to want to stay at the enterprise. As the youth holds the future of both the energy industry and the country that they will be rebuilding after the war,” — noted Denys Bondar, CEO at DTEK Kyiv Grids.

Sikorsky KPI”, Kyiv Electromechanical Vocational College and Kyiv Energy Vocational College. In order to promote work in the energy industry, we arrange excursions to power facilities for the students, as well as practical classes with usage of immersive technologies, etc

Over the first half of 2025, 3 students have joined the project. The plan for the second half of the year is to attract 12 more students. Almost 80% of dual education students stay to work in the company after studying.
