Over the course of three years of the full-scale war, energy workers of the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids repaired more than 2,000 power lines, damaged by shelling. In some cases, the specialists had to repair every line more than twice due to the repeating russian attacks*. Nevertheless, our energy workers are ready to repair the grids again and again, to ensure that Ukrainians have electricity at home.
Energy invincibility: energy workers of the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids eliminated 2,500 damages of lines since the beginning of the full-scale war

Since February 24, 2022, energy workers of DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids restored operation of a total of 2,015 power lines and almost 3,000 substations, transformer and distribution points in the Kyiv region. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, energy workers of the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids restored electricity to more than 1.5 mln customers**.

Kyiv region is under constant enemy’s sight, but our energy workers are holding their energy front to provide electricity to every family, hospital and enterprise. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the region suffered huge damage, but in 45 days we have repaired the grids in the scale never before seen in the Ukrainian energy industry. We restored and rebuilt from scratch almost 10,000 kilometers of lines. We have been restoring and continue to restore electricity where the enemy is trying to destroy it. Now, restoring lines after yet another attack is not just a job, it is the fight for life without darkness. For the third year in a row, we prove that the energy front is invincible, and light always wins!noted DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids CEO Vitalii Shaida.

Energy workers commence works on the damaged grids only upon permission of the military and SES. However, our enemy is insidious, and the crews may come under fire at any time anywhere. Unfortunately, over the course of three years of the full-scale invasion, 1 energy worker was killed during restoration of electricity to the residents of the region, another 6 employees were wounded.
