Energy invincibility: energy workers of the DTEK Odesa Grids eliminated 147 damages of lines since the beginning of the full-scale war
Since February 24, 2022, energy workers of DTEK Odesa Grids restored operation of a total of 139 power lines and 45 substations, transformer and distribution points in the Odesa region. This is 95% of all power facilities that suffered destruction due to russians’ criminal actions. The other 5% are impossible to repair yet due to the security situation and lack of required equipment.
“Despite constant threat, our crews continue to restore power supply after every enemy attack. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we restored electricity to more than 1.7 mln customers**. Our main task is to do everything possible for equipment to operate properly and for people to have electricity,” – noted Dmytro Hryhoriev, CEO at DTEK Odesa Grids.
Every time, energy workers commence repairs immediately after the air alert is cancelled upon permission of the military and SES. Emergency and restoration activities are ongoing 24/7 until electricity is restored to every home.
