Energy worker of DTEK Odesa Grids received the energy industry’s highest state award

Valentyn Kravchenko has been working in the energy industry for 32 years, 21 of them – at the enterprise. Over this time, he worked as an electrician, foreman, dispatcher, chief engineer, head of REM (Power Distribution Zone), and in 2022 he became the head of Izmail Power Distribution Zone. After each enemy attack on the energy industry, Valentyn organizes work of the crews to eliminate consequences of shelling in order to restore electricity to people’s homes as soon as possible.
“Receiving an honorary award “Honorary Energy Worker of Ukraine” is primarily a recognition of our team’s joint work. During the full-scale war, when the enemy is trying to plunge us into darkness, energy workers throughout the country came together with one goal – provide Ukrainians with electricity. I am sure that together we are capable of overcoming any challenges,” – commented Valentyn Kravchenko, head of the Izmail Power Distribution Zone at DTEK Odesa Grids.
There are four Honorary Energy Workers of Ukraine working in DTEK Odesa Grids today – Serhii Kokutsa, manager of the Emergency Response Division, Mykola Khachina, senior foreman of the Substations Repair and Operations Center, Roman Stamat, head of the High-Voltage Grids Operation Department and Valentyn Kravchenko, head of the Izmail Power Distribution Zone. This is a high recognition of the professional activities of specialists and a great honor for the company.
Let us remind that in March 2025, 99 energy workers of DTEK Odesa Grids were awarded with honorary certificates of the local authorities for prompt restoration of electricity after enemy attacks in the Odesa district of the region and in the city of Odesa, in particular.
