DTEK energy workers managed to promptly restore electricity to 73,000 homes in the Donetsk region, de-energized due to shelling

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to promptly restore power supply to 145 settlements in the Donetsk region, left without power due to an enemy attack on one of the power facilities, thus restoring electricity 73,000 families in the south of the region. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore electricity in the Donetsk region, despite constant shelling of the region.

On the night of October 31, the enemy made a targeted attack on one of the power facilities in the region, leaving 73,000 families in the Donetsk region without electricity. 

Despite the difficult safety situation in the Donetsk region, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to restore operation of 4 high-voltage substations within an hour, thus restoring electricity to almost 50,000 homes. By 9:30, operation of 17 more substations has been restored, making it possible to restore power to more than 20,000 homes. 

The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult due to escalation of hostilities, constant shelling, missile and air strikes. Damage of energy equipment is ongoing, as well as restoration activities. Last week alone, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to restore electricity to 111,000 families in 189 settlements, de-energized due to shelling.
