Energy workers are building a temporary power circuit for the left bank of Dnipro
The attack that took place on the night from Friday to Saturday caused significant damage to the power facility. Its complete restoration requires time. In order to ensure that families have electricity during the repairs, energy workers have been forced to build a temporary power circuit.
“We are doing everything to energize the left bank of Dnipro. We have been working for five days now. Unfortunately, the scale of destruction does not currently allow to overhaul the power supply system in these districts. Therefore, we are building a temporary power circuit to promptly provide electricity to the homes. Unfortunately, this circuit is less resistant to overloads. Power surges or failures in the general energy system may lead to emergencies faster. This is what happened yesterday. Our specialists plan to finalize the circuit and reenergize the left-bank district of the city by the end of the day,” – underscored Anton Dralov, head of the high-voltage grids operation department at DTEK Dnipro Grids.
Energy workers are working 24/7 – despite air raid alerts, snow and frost.
We ask residents to help preserve electricity:
- do not turn on power appliances (kettles, boilers, heaters) immediately after electricity restoration, wait for up to 30 minutes;
- turn on electrical appliances in turns.
We understand how hard it is without electricity. We are working 24/7 and are doing everything possible and often impossible to restore electricity to every home.
