Energy workers of DTEK Dnipro Grids are removing icing and repairing broken wires: electricity has already been restored to more than 5,000 homes
It rained with sleet at night, leading to icing of wires in the morning, while strong gusts of wind caused multiple broken power lines. Verkhniodniprovska and Piatykhatska communities of the Kamianske district, Samar district, Pavlohrad, as well as Lozuvatska and Shyrokivska communities of the Kryvyi Rih district were affected the most.
Since that night, energy workers have already restored power to 5,203 families, left without electricity due to bad weather. In particular, they have completely restored operation of five high-voltage lines. Currently, specialists continue repairing medium- and low-voltage lines.
As of now, over 31,000 homes in 190 settlements of the region remain without power supply. Energy workers are doing everything possible to energize all consumers as soon as possible.
48 emergency crews have been engaged ‒ 137 employees and 49 items of special machinery. The works are ongoing 24/7 despite the continued adverse weather.
Let us remind that strong gusts of wind may cause fallen trees and broken wires. Be careful, do not neglect the safety rules and do not approach the power lines.
