Energy workers of DTEK Dnipro Grids are removing icing and repairing broken wires: electricity has already been restored to more than 5,000 homes

On February 18-19, DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews were put on high alert due to the difficult weather conditions in the Dnipropetrovsk region. As of Thursday morning, electricity had already been restored to more than 5,000 homes. 137 employees and 29 items of special machinery had been engaged to promptly eliminate the emergencies.

It rained with sleet at nightleading to icing of wires in the morningwhile strong gusts of wind caused multiple broken power linesVerkhniodniprovska and Piatykhatska communities of the Kamianske districtSamar districtPavlohradas well as Lozuvatska and Shyrokivska communities of the Kryvyi Rih district were affected the most. 

Since that nightenergy workers have already restored power to 5,203 familiesleft without electricity due to bad weatherIn particularthey have completely restored operation of five high-voltage linesCurrently, specialists continue repairing mediumand low-voltage lines. 

As of nowover 31,000 homes in 190 settlements of the region remain without power supplyEnergy workers are doing everything possible to energize all consumers as soon as possible. 

48 emergency crews have been engaged ‒ 137 employees and 49 items of special machineryThe works are ongoing 24/7 despite the continued adverse weather.
