From January to June 2025, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to repair a total of 1,200 power lines, 106 substations and transformer and distribution points after enemy attacks in the Donetsk region.

Active hostilities in the Donetsk region do not subside. The energy system suffers damage on a daily basis. Some power facilities were brought back to life after shelling on dozens of occasions. Although it is dangerous, exhausting, difficult, depressing our specialists are motivated by every lighted home. Since the beginning of the year, DTEK Donetsk Grids energy workers restored electricity to 1.7 mln customers*. We continue to do everything possible, and sometimes impossible, for the energy system to keep working, noted the company.

Energy workers commence work on the damaged grids only upon permission of the military and SES. However, the situation in the region changes rapidly and the crews may come under fire at any time anywhere. The price of light remains extremely high: two energy workers have been wounded since the beginning of the year. During this period of time, DTEK Donetsk Grids restoration crews came under fire during electricity restoration more than 70 times.

Nevertheless, our energy workers continue to work on restoration of the grids in the Donetsk region.
