In early February 2025, the enemy damaged power equipment that powered one of the districts of the city of Kherson. When colleagues asked for help, we did not hesitate for a second. We commenced work in the middle of March and worked by shifts until the mid-April. It was a difficult and dangerous work: the frontline was just several kilometers away, the area was swampy, and the roads to power facilities and lines were completely impassable at times. Nevertheless, we understood that we are working for the people. Finally, with joint efforts of our crews and our colleagues from Khersonoblenergo, we managed to restore operation of equipment to the working conditions and restore electricity and water to homes of 2,000 Khersonians for the first time in almost 2.5 months, told Dmytro Hryhoriev, CEO at DTEK Odesa Grids.

Specialists of DTEK Odesa Grids repaired 150 kV lines, 2 35 kV lines and a high-voltage substation that was out of order due to the flood, caused by the blasting of the Kakhovka HPP in June 2023.
