DTEK Odesa Grids energy workers collected 70 tons of waste on the World Cleanup Day
As part of the World Cleanup Day that unites over 210 countries every year in the fight against environmental contamination and pollution, energy workers of DTEK Odesa Grids carried out a large-scale cleaning of the territories near power facilities and offices of the company. The support of this global initiative complies with company’s Sustainable Development Strategy and UN Global Compact Sustainable Development Goals in Ukraine.
“Today, environmental awareness is not just a popular trend but is a need. Even in the times of war, we continue to care about clean environment. Participation in the World Cleanup Day is our way to contribute to a safer and cleaner future, set an example and form a culture of responsibility. It is nice to see so many colleagues joining this cause,” — noted Dmytro Hryhoriev, CEO at DTEK Odesa Grids.
World Cleanup Day 2025 in Ukraine was traditionally organized by the eco movement “Let’s Do It Ukraine”, which is a part of the Global Movement “Let’s Do It World”. This initiative has already united over 114 mln people in 211 countries, who make joint efforts to make the planet cleaner.
