DTEK energy workers restored electricity to 50 settlements in the frontline Donetsk region over the course of the day

On August 3, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to restore electricity to residents of 50 settlements, de-energized due to constant shelling of the Donetsk region, thus restoring power to more than 11,000 families. Energy workers commence repairs immediately once the shelling subsides and the military provide permission for work performance.

Yesterday, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to repair a number of power facilities, damaged by enemy shelling, and restored power to 50 settlements of the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to homes of 11,166 families.

The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult. According to the head of the region Vadym Filashkin, russians shelled settlements of the region 27 times yesterday alone.

Shelling continues to destroy grids and equipment. DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 893 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. Nearly 70 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
