DTEK has restored power to more than 64,000 households in the Donetsk region over the course of a week

Over the course of a week, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, managed to access a number of damaged grids and equipment, perform repairs and restore power to 108 settlements, de-energized due to shelling, thus restoring electricity to homes of more than 64,000 families. Energy workers commence repairs of grids once it becomes possible and the military provide a permit for work performance.

During the week, the situation in the Donetsk region remained stable difficult due to active hostilities. Nevertheless, over the period from August 22 to 28, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to completely or partially restore power to 108 settlements, thus restoring electricity to 64,547 families in the Donetsk region.

For instance, yesterday energy workers managed to restore electricity to homes of residents of 10 settlements, thus restoring power to 18,337 families in Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk and Bakhmut districts.

Hostilities are underway in the Donetsk region. The enemy continues to try to advance in the Donetsk region. 91 settlements remain without electricity, as energy workers do not have a permit for works performance from the military and are unable to work there. The most difficult directions are Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
