DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists once again came under fire during work performance

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists continue to work in the Donetsk region despite the fact that restoring electricity here is becoming increasingly difficult and dangerous. The enemy attacks the region on a daily basis, thus energy workers’ crews come under fire more and more often. 

In particular, a new incident happened last week. Specialists of the energy company came to the site to inspect the equipment. However, once they began looking for damage, they saw a drone. Energy workers immediately ran to the nearest shelter, and in 15 minutes the drone hit the vehicle. Fortunately, no one from the crew was injured. Although the crew vehicle was severely damaged, specialists of the energy company managed to start it and get to a safer place after the attack. Energy workers completed the planned inspection once they received permission from the military. 

Energy workers commence work on the grids, damaged by the attacks, only upon permission of the military and SES. However, our enemy is insidious and the crews may come under fire anytime, anywhere. Since the beginning of the year alone, specialists of the energy company have already come under fire more than 120 times, some energy workers were injured.
