From January 5 to 11, DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews restored electricity to more than 1.1 mln families, left without power supplier due to enemy attacks on power facilities. Some residents had electricity restored to them on two or more occasions. Energy workers repair damaged lines and electrical equipment immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES. Our goal is to provide towns and villages with electricity, required for the normal life of the region’s residents.
Massive strikes on the energy sector: DTEK Dnipro Grids restored electricity to 1.1 mln families over the course of the week

Over the course of the week, the enemy launched massive attacks on the energy infrastructure of the Dnipropetrovsk region, targeting main distribution grids and a number of power facilities, in Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih in particular. Emergency crews commenced work immediately after obtaining permission from the military and the SES.

From January 5 to 11, despite the difficult security situation and unfavorable weather conditions, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists restored power supply to 1,144,854 families after numerous russian attacks. Over the weekend alone, energy workers restored electricity to almost 103,000 residents of the region.

“Despite all difficulties, we have restored power supply to the majority of consumers in the Dnipropetrovsk region after a series of massive rf’s attacks. The majority of the region is already working in accordance with the usual stabilization schedules. Meanwhile, the situation on the left bank of Dnipro and in the Dnipro district after an attack on the power facility on the night from Friday to Saturday remains difficult ‒ the scale of damages does not yet allow to completely restore electricity to everyone. Over 18,000 families currently remain de-energized. Together with city authorities, we are searching for alternative power supply solutions and are doing everything possible to complete repairs and restore electricity to homes as soon as possible,” ‒ commented DTEK Dnipro Grids CEO Andrii Tereshchuk.

Restoration activities in the frontline zone are complicated by constant shelling. Nevertheless, energy workers are doing everything possible to restore electricity to residents’ homes as soon as possible.
