Almost 45,000 meters started submitting electricity readings on their own this year, – DTEK Dnipro Grids
DTEK Dnipro Grids installs ACEMS within the framework of the investment program, which is approved annually by the state regulator NEURC. In the multi-appartement residential building, ACEMS is installed for all residents at once. For the residents, introduction of the system provides for replacement of old meters with the new “smart” ones free of charge.
From January to July 2025, another 44,500 “smart” meters appeared in the homes of the residents of the Dnipropetrovsk region thanks to the DTEK Dnipro Grids energy workers. These metering devices, integrated into the ACEMS, automatically measure, collect and submit data about electricity consumption by every customer. This allows not only to form an accurate volume of electricity consumption, but also to promptly detect emergencies, overloads or equipment malfunctions.
“Despite the war time challenges, we continue modernizing the grid for our customers to receive reliable and quality power supply. Since the beginning of the year, we have already installed 65% of the planned number of “smart” meters. By the end of 2025, we plan to replace a total of almost 70,000 old devices with the advanced technological ones,” – noted DTEK Dnipro Grids CEO Andrii Tereshchuk.
You can find out if a meter replacement in your house is planned this year on the DTEK Dnipro Grids website.
Introduction of ACEMS is a part of the project on modernization of the energy infrastructure of the Dnipropetrovsk region using Smart Grid technologies “Grids of the Future”.
Let us remind that by 2034, DTEK Dnipro Grids plans to replace old meters with the “smart” ones for every customer.
