DTEK Odesa Grids paid almost 800 million UAH of taxes in 2023

DTEK Odesa Grids is a reliable partner of country and society. Despite the war and reduction of distribution volumes over the past two years, the company consistently pays taxes to state and local budgets. All tax deductions help meet the needs of Odesa and Odesa region in financing, especially now. In 2023 alone, the overall amount of taxes, paid by the distribution system operator, is almost 800 million UAH.

Last year, DTEK Odesa Grids transferred over 158 million hryvnas to the local budgets and paid over 628 million UAH to the central one. The government can use taxes paid to local and state budgets to finance restoration of houses, damaged by enemy attacks, reconstruction of schools and hospitals, renovation and construction of shelters, etc.

786 million UAH of taxes that we paid last year is our contribution to the country’s defense capabilities, support of economy and citizens, who are currently in need of state assistance. Despite the war and constant shelling, we are working, providing families with electricity, taking care of stability of power supply to the energy system of Odesa and the region. Additionally, the company continues to consistently invest in modernization of the infrastructure of the Odesa region. This year alone, within the framework of the regulator-approved investment program, we plan to invest over 1.1 billion hryvnas in the upgrade of the regions grids, improving quality and reliability of power supply,” – noted Dmytro Hryhoriev, CEO at DTEK Odesa Grids.

As previously reported, during the two years of the full-scale war, DTEK Odesa Grids energy workers have restored almost 750 kilometers of power lines of various voltage classes that were damaged by enemy attacks. Energy workers’ main objective is to do everything possible to provide electricity to homes of Ukrainians, despite the war.
