International aid: energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region received two aerial platforms for work on the high-voltage lines

DTEK Dnipro Grids received two advanced truck-mounted aerial platforms VERSALIFT, with the working height of 32 meters as part of humanitarian aid from the Energy Community. New special machinery has already enhanced company’s vehicle fleet and after the corresponding training will be used to perform work without disconnection of power supply for the residents of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
International aid: energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region received two aerial platforms for work on the high-voltage lines

The aerial platforms are equipped with insulated booms, which make it possible to perform works at the height of 32 meters, while meeting high safety standards. Reliable chassis ensure durability, maneuverability and efficient operation even on the most difficult sections of the grid.

Usage of this machinery will allow energy workers of the Dnipropetrovsk region to faster perform emergency and restoration activities, as well as routine work, while minimizing the number of outages for the customers. The truck-mounted aerial platforms are currently engaged in repairs on the 35–150 kV lines in Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih districts, particularly after attacks and damage of the energy infrastructure.

After completion of the required training, specialists plan to use it to conduct live line works on the high-voltage lines in the Dnipropetrovsk region without disconnection of the customers. The company notes that receipt of two items of specialized machinery is an important step towards enhancing technical capabilities and improving reliability of power supply in the region.

DTEK Dnipro Grids is sincerely grateful to the international partners for solidarity and practical assistance that allows Ukrainian energy workers to further ensure stable operation of the grids.
As informed earlier, DTEK Dnipro Grids continue introducing techniques that make it possible to repair the grids without de-energization of the customers. Nearly 70% of repairs in the 0.4 kV distribution grids are carried out without power outage, and the company is gradually upscaling this approach to medium- and high-voltage lines.
