DTEK energy workers restored power to 53,000 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region after Shahed attack

Over the course of the day, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists restored power to 53,000 families in the city of Pavlohrad and nearby districts after massive attack of strike drones. Electricity has been restored to all homes, de-energized due to the damage of NPC Ukrenergo power facility on February 12. Electricity has also been restored to all residents of Dnipro, despite the enemy attack last night. DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews restore power supply immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES. Our goal is to provide towns and villages with electricity, required for normal life of residents of the region.

For two nights in a row Dnipropetrovsk region has been suffering targeted enemy strikes on power facilities. 

In the night of February 12, russian invaders’ UAVs attacked grids of NPC Ukrenergo. The damage caused de-energization of part of the city of Pavlohrad and nearby districts. In less then a day, DTEK Dnipro Grids energy workers together with colleagues from NPC Ukrenergo restored electricity to all residents. As of 10:00 on Monday, they have energized over 15,000 families via backup power sources. And by 21:00, electricity has been restored to another 38,000 homes.  

Electricity has also been promptly restored to consumers in Dnipro, de-energized due to the attack in the night of February 12-13. Houses were automatically switched to the backup power circuits. 

Besides, yesterday DTEK Dnipro Grids energy workers restored electricity to 2,500 homes in the south of the region that were de-energized due to shelling. 

Attacks on the Dnipropetrovsk region have intensified lately. However, last week the enemy also continued its attempts to shell the region. Especially its southern part, which is close to the theater of hostilities. Thus, from February 5 to 11 DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists were able to restore power to homes of 28,000 families. 

Emergency crews are doing everything possible to promptly eliminate damage on lines and equipment after enemy attacks. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damages from the AFU and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
