Russians have attacked DTEK Dnipro Grids repair crew in the Dnipropetrovsk region
Everything happened on February 7 in one of the settlements near the line of contact, which the enemy constantly attacks. On that very day, the crew was working at the power line, destroyed by the enemy strike the day before, to restore electricity to the homes of local residents.
At about 14:00, two FPV drones hit the vehicle of the DTEK Dnipro Grids field response crew. The second explosion set the car on fire and burnt it to the ground.
Fortunately, energy workers were at a safe distance behind the vehicle at the moment. Therefore, all employees are safe and unharmed.
Repair crews regularly suffer from enemy attacks during restoration activities in the areas close to the combat zone. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, seven energy workers of DTEK Dnipro Grids have been wounded in the Dnipropetrovsk region, another employee was killed during performance of his professional duties. 8 units of DTEK Dnipro Grids machinery have been destroyed. Including cars and special machinery, without which quick restoration of electricity in the front-line districts is impossible.
Nevertheless, energy workers continue to work ‒ repair the grids and restore electricity to homes immediately after obtaining permission from the military and the SES.
