DTEK restored electricity to almost 200,000 families in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions over the course of a week

From February 3 to 9, energy workers of the DTEK Grids DSO managed to completely or partially restore power supply to 57 settlements, thus restoring power to homes of almost 200,000 families in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and the SES.

The enemy continued to attack power facilities of the country last week. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators, in their turn, continued to repair damages after shelling. In particular, from December 3 to 9 they managed to restore electricity to almost 192,500 families. More than 167,000 of which after an enemy attack in the evening of February 8, when 38 settlements were de-energized. Including the towns of Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, Kostiantynivka and Druzhkivka. Despite all security challenges of the region, where active hostilities are ongoing, energy workers continue to work and restore electricity, wherever possible. 

The enemy attacked Dnipropetrovsk region last week, too. From February 3 to 9, specialists of the energy company restored electricity to 5,800 families of local residents, whose homes were de-energized due to enemy shelling.  

“Energy workers continue working and holding the energy front for 1,083 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to 17.1 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.  

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
