DTEK restored electricity to more than 240,000 homes in Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Kyiv regions over the course of the week

From March 3 to 9, specialists of the DTEK Grids DSO were able to completely or partially restore power to 27 settlements, thus restoring electricity to more than 240,000 homes in Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Kyiv regions. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and the SES.

The majority – in the Odesa region, which constantly suffered from enemy attacks last week. From March 3 to 9, energy workers managed to restore power to 143,400 homes of local residents.

Dnipropetrovsk region continues to suffer from enemy shelling too. Last week, our specialists here managed to restore electricity to 76,100 families, whose homes were de-energized due to the attacks.

Donetsk region, in its turn, remains the region of the most active hostilities. Despite constant danger, specialists of the energy company repair the grids once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for repairs. Over the past seven days, they managed to restore power to homes of 19,200 families here. The works in the Donetsk region become increasingly dangerous: last week, specialists of the energy company once again came under an enemy air strike. Fortunately, they remained unharmed.

Kyiv region is also subjected to frequent enemy strikes. Last week, energy workers restored electricity to 1,300 families once the sappers and the military provided permission.

“The enemy does not stop attacking the energy system of our country. Despite constant threat, energy workers continue to hold the energy front and eliminate consequences of strikes for 1,111 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to 17.8 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
