DTEK restored electricity to almost 162,000 families in Odesa, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions, as well as in the city of Kyiv over the course of the week
Last week, energy workers continued to eliminate consequences of enemy strikes. The majority – in the Odesa region, which suffered several enemy attacks. Energy workers managed to restore power to almost 101,700 homes of local residents over the course of the week.
Donetsk region, in its turn, continues to remain the area of the most active hostilities. Despite constant danger, specialists of the energy company repair the grids once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for repairs. From February 17 to 23, they managed to restore power to homes of almost 41,600 families here.
Dnipropetrovsk region regularly suffers from consequences of enemy shelling too, especially the south of the region, which is close to the area of hostilities. Our specialists here managed to restore electricity to 17,700 families last week.
The enemy also does not stop attacking the Kyiv region, where shelling last week has once again damaged the grids and left 755 families without power supply. Energy workers restored electricity as soon as possible once the sappers and the military provided permission. Additionally, electricity has been restored to more than 200 homes in Kyiv.
“The enemy continues to attack the energy system of our country. Energy workers continue to hold the energy front and eliminate consequences of strikes for 1,098 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to 17.4 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
