In spite of bad weather: DTEK Donetsk Grids restored power to more than 177,000 families over the course of a week of bad weather in the Donetsk region

Bad weather raged in the Donetsk region almost all of the last week: hurricane caused falling of trees, knocked off roofs and damaged energy infrastructure of the region. DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists restored power to 298 settlements, de-energized due to consequences of stormy wind. Electricity has been restored to 177,000 families.

Grids repairs were complicated by the fact that bad weather entered the region several times during this period. Despite bad weather, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews have restored electricity to 298 settlements of the region, thus restoring power to 177,200 families. 

Hostilities in the Donetsk region did not subside as well. Shelling, missile and air strikes continued. Energy workers also continued restoring the grids damaged by shelling. Specialists of the energy company will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

More than 60 crews of the energy company worked on restorations daily.
