NPC Ukrenergo may introduce power cutoffs in the Kyiv region in order to avoid accidents

Thermal power generation15 October 2022
Due to significant destructions of the energy infrastructure, state company NPC Ukrenergo warns about possible introduction of stabilization power cutoffs in the Kyiv region.

As of October 15, there is a high possibility that these cutoffs will take place during peak electricity consumption hours – in the morning till 13:00 and in the evening from 18:00 to 23:00. Due to complexity of infrastructure damage, these cutoffs may last over 4 hours. The exact duration of cutoffs will depend on condition of the energy system and orders of NPC Ukrenergo.

The list of settlements that such cutoff may cover will be posted on the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids website and social networks pages. Please, follow the updates.

In order to support the energy system we urge all residents of the Kyiv region to consume electricity reasonably – switch on energy-consuming devices by turns and minimize electricity consumption in the evening from 18.00 to 23.00.

We urge business customers to limit usage of exterior lighting of facades of offices, restaurants, malls, etc.

These simple steps will help reduce the need for power cutoffs or the number of disconnected houses. This is now the best support of energy workers, who are working 24/7 and are doing everything possible to ensure that everyone has electricity at home.

Take care of yourself and your family!

We believe in Victory!
