Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews, with the permission of the military, were able to access a number of damaged grids and restore electricity to residents of 16 settlements, thus restoring power to 3,639 families in Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk and Bakhmut districts.

For instance, yesterday energy workers managed to restore electricity to 1,500 households of Sloviansk community and restore power to more than a thousand households in Marinka community. Specialists of the energy company were also able to work in Bakhmut, Kostiantynivka, Toretsk and Avdiivka (one of the most shelled communities of the region according to law enforcement officers) communities. Most of the households, restored yesterday, were without electricity for less than 24 hours.

Active hostilities are underway in the Donetsk region. Shelling constantly damages grids and equipment. 85 settlements of the region remain without electricity, as energy workers do not have a permit for works performance from the military and are unable to work there.
