Despite shelling, DTEK has restored power to more than 2,000 families in the Donetsk region over the course of a day
On August 23, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews have completely or partially restored power to 9 settlements, thus restoring electricity to 2,445 families in Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk and Bakhmut districts.
Energy workers, with the permission of the military, repaired the grids in Toretsk community, once again restoring electricity to 1,500 families. Additionally, they conducted restoration activities in Marinka, Kostiantynivka, Bakhmut and Sloviansk communities.
Constant attempts of the enemy to advance and massive shelling continue to destroy the grids in the region and deprive energy workers of the ability to promptly react to power outages. The most difficult directions remain Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. 95 settlements remain without electricity, as energy workers do not have a permit for works performance from the military and are unable to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 182 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines again and again, as soon as it becomes possible.
