Despite shelling, DTEK has restored electricity to almost 5,000 families in the Donetsk region

On August 6, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to repair grids in 11 settlements, thus restoring electricity to 4,905 families in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts.

Almost half of restorations were in Marinka community, which, similarly to the Toretsk community, is located near the buffer zone and is exposed to constant shelling. Here, electricity was restored to 2,100 families and more than 200 families correspondingly. Additionally, the military allowed energy workers to work in Druzhkivka community, where electricity was restored to 1,400 households. Bakhmut is under continuous and heavy enemy fire as well. Nevertheless, specialists of the energy company were able to restore electricity to more than 600 residents of this community. Yesterday, works were also carried out in Sloviansk and Avdiivka communities.

The enemy continues to try to advance in the Donetsk region. Energy workers are doing everything possible to repair damaged grids, but constant shelling repeatedly destroys energy infrastructure and prevents repairs.

The most difficult directions are Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 165 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines again and again, as soon as it becomes possible.
