During the week, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews, with the permission of the military, managed to access a number of sites of grids and equipment damage and conduct repairs, thus restoring electricity to homes of almost 70,000 families in 60 settlements of the Donetsk region for the New Year holidays. Specialists of the energy company commence repairs immediately once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance.

Over the course of a week, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to completely or partially restore electricity to 60 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring power to 67,674 families in the frontline Donetsk region.

Moreover, yesterday energy workers have restored electricity to more than 13,000 families in 7 settlements.

Hostilities are underway in the Donetsk region. According to the Ministry of Defense, the enemy concentrates his efforts on offensive operations on the Bakhmut direction and is trying to improve his tactical position on Lyman and Avdiivka directions.

The situation in the region remains difficult. For instance, yesterday the invaders launched a missile strike on Kramatorsk, injuring DTEK Donetsk Grids worker during performance of repairs. He was taken to the hospital, the company takes care of the required treatment. Energy worker’s job is now more dangerous than ever but we keep holding the energy front.

125 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
