Updating schedules of power shutdowns using the new approach throughout the country, – DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids
Previously, the approach to forming power shutdown schedules in different regions significantly varied by the number of hours with and without electricity. In order to correct this, NPC Ukrenergo and the Ministry of Energy are introducing a uniform approach to creating schedules throughout the country, which is fixed by the law.
It will allow for more flexible administration of the energy system. An updated system will come into force as soon as at 01:00 December 16, 2024.
What changes:
- The schedule of power shutdowns is broken down into 30-minute intervals.
- Each line is split into two sublines: 1.1 and 1.2, 2.1 and 2.2, etc. You can check to which line you belong on the website and in the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids chatbot.
- More hours with electricity – thanks to the unification of schedules throughout the country there will be at least 3.5 hours between possible shutdowns, providing there are no emergencies in the grid.
Same as before, you will always have two schedules available for the convenience of planning your day:
- The daily schedule – a clear schedule of “Electricity on” (white) and “Electricity off” (dark grey) zones. It will be available on the website and in the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids chatbot the evening before.
- The projected weekly schedule – shows time intervals, when electricity may be shut down, and when it will not. It allows planning your life for a longer period; therefore, it is always available on the DSO website.
The uniform national schedule will make it possible to correct the situation when during the identical application of limitations some regions were with electricity more, and some – less. Though it should be understood that there is significant damage to the country’s backbone substations that transmit electricity from one part of the country to the other, therefore, there is just no way to supply electricity to some regions.
All this helps resist the russian energy terror more efficiently, while maintaining electricity in the homes of Ukrainians.
The updated schedules can be found in Viber, Telegram chatbots and on the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids website.
