Over the course of the week, DTEK Grids DSO restored electricity to almost 1.9 million homes, de-energized by the attacks
The enemy intensified attacks on the country’s energy system. Missile and drone attacks have been destroying power facilities, including transmission grids of another energy company, causing introduction of stabilization and, sometimes, emergency power shutdowns in some regions and in the capital.
The majority of restorations were in the capital, where energy workers managed to restore electricity after enemy attacks to 773,100 homes last week.
The next largest number of restorations was in the Odesa region, which the enemy does not stop attacking too. From October 5 to 11, energy workers were able to restore power supply to 451,000 homes of local residents.
Enemy attacks on the Kyiv region have intensified too: specialists of the energy company restored electricity to 386,400 families over the past seven days.
The enemy also did not stop attacking Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, where an extremely difficult security situation remains due to the proximity of the frontline. Electricity has been restored to 185,300 homes in the Donetsk region, and 86,000 homes in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
“On the eve of winter, the enemy is once again intensifying attacks on the energy infrastructure. We continue to work, despite the danger, and are doing everything possible, and sometimes impossible, to repair damage and support the operation of the energy system as quickly as possible. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to more than 58.8 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. We have restored electricity in some settlements close to the combat zone on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
Energy workers of DTEK Grids DSO are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as quickly as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from AFU and SES.
