Over the course of the week, DTEK Grids DSO restored electricity to more than 200 settlements, de-energized by shelling
Last week, energy workers continued to eliminate the consequences of enemy strikes. The majority – in the Donetsk region, which continues to remain an area of the most active hostilities. Despite constant danger, last week they managed to restore electricity to almost 91,000 homes in the frontline region.
The Dnipropetrovsk region also continues to suffer from constant shelling that regularly damages grids and leaves residents of the region without electricity. From August 18 to 24, power here was restored to the homes of 75,100 families of local residents.
“The enemy continues to attack our country. And we continue to work despite danger and shelling for as long as 1,279 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to 21 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
Energy workers of DTEK Grids are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
