Over 200 families have already installed a “Day-Night” Meter under the veterans support program of DTEK Grids “Light of Gratefulness”

DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators have installed over 200 “Day-Night” Meters for veterans, participants in combat operations and their families in the city of Kyiv, as well as in Kyiv, Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk regions. DTEK Grids is implementing the “Light of Gratitude” program, as the way to thank and support people, who protected and are protecting the country.

The “Light of Gratitude” program in DTEK Grids DSO was launched in the summer of 2025 to help veterans, active military personnel and their families save on electricity thanks to the night tariff, which is twice lower than the day one. Participants in combat operations, persons with disabilities caused by war, war participants and their immediate relatives can use the initiative if they have documents, confirming their status.

“It is important for us that support for veterans is not a one‑time initiative but a systematic, ongoing effort. Therefore, we are creating special conditions for using the services for veterans and military, wherever possible. Over 200 installed meters is the first summary of the “Light of Gratitude” program, and we plan to continue it in 2026 to provide an opportunity for even more families to save on electricity billing,” — noted Ruslan Volynets, Customer Relations Director at DTEK Grids.

The program continues in 2026 and provides a discount of up to UAH 1,200* for the comprehensive service that includes meter, installation, setup and its free replacement in case of malfunctioning. After installation of the two-zone meter, the families automatically save up to 50% on electricity consumption during nighttime. The amount of cost savings may increase by rescheduling more household processes for the period from 23:00 to 07:00 — e.g., laundry, washing dishes, heating the boiler and charging gadgets.

You can place a request for the purchase of meter under the “Light of Gratitude” loyalty program online via websites of your DSO in the city of Kyiv, as well as Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions.

*The amount of discount depends on the type of the meter. The special price for the service is available until 30.06.2026.
