Over the course of a day, DTEK has restored electricity to 13,000 households in the Donetsk region
During the day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to completely or partially restore power to 23 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to 13,243 families in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts.
For instance, electricity was restored to almost 12,000 households in Toretsk, Oleksandrivka, Kostiantynivka and Avdiivka communities, left without electricity due to shelling the day before, on July 7.
Energy workers had to wait for the permit from the military to commence repairs. In less than 24 hours, specialists of the energy company were able to restore electricity to another 1,300 families in Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Toretsk communities that constantly suffer from hostilities.
Constant massive shelling, missile strikes and air assaults of the entire region destroy energy infrastructure and cause shutdown of energy enterprises. Therefore, we ask our customers to treat the situation with understanding. Energy workers commence repairs immediately after obtaining the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine
321 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is in the areas of Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut.
