Submit meter readings during power shutdowns – help DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids determine the volume of electricity really consumed by you

Thermal power generation30 August 2024
Regardless of what is happening in the energy system, the time to submit electricity meter readings remains the same - the last two days of the current month and the first three days of the next one. Especially when energy workers have to apply emergency power shutdowns due to the enemy attacks. As your data will help DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids specialists determine the volume of electricity, really consumed by you, and the suppliers – to use it for correct billing.

When calculating the volume of electricity, consumed by you in August, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids considers meter readings, submitted from August 30 to September 3 only. The Distribution System Operator cannot exclude time periods when it had to apply schedules of stabilization shutdowns or emergency power shutdowns in accordance with the NPC Ukrenergo command. We rely exclusively on the data of your meter.

If the readings are not submitted by September 4, then the legislation requires to calculate the volume using average daily consumption during the similar period of the previous year – August 2023, when stabilization or emergency shutdowns have not been applied.

In order to avoid discrepancies in calculations and receive bills for the really consumed electricity only, please do not forget to submit readings in time.

The easiest and fastest way to do it is via the chatbot:

  • Enter “DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids” in the Viber and Telegram messenger search bar;
  • pass the verification procedure (for unauthorized customers);
  • select “Submit meter readings” in the menu and follow the prompts to submit information.

Additionally, an up-to-date information regarding shutdowns is always available in our chatbot.
