Under fire for the sake of light: since the beginning of 2024, energy workers of DTEK Dnipro Grids restored 1,213 km of power lines

The enemy does not stop attacking peaceful towns and villages in the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones, missiles and artillery, thus damaging power facilities – lines, substations, etc. Since the beginning of 2024 alone, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists restored operation of 801* facilities, damaged due to hostilities. The overhead power lines are the ones suffering most often. Energy workers had to repair some of them on dozens of occasions. Arecord holderline on one of the most shelled directions in the south of the region was repaired by energy workers more than 50 times.

The energy infrastructure is being destroyed the most in the districts close to the occupied territories and the area of hostilities. In particular, new damages in the distribution grid are registered in the south of the Dnipropetrovsk region almost daily due to constant shelling. During 8 months of 2024, we restored electricity to homes of more than 1 mln families** of our region. Despite dangers, energy workers restore power supply again and again to ensure normal life of regions residents,” – noted Andrii Tereshchuk, CEO at DTEK Dnipro Grids.

Specialists of the company are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews commence works immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site from the AFU and SES

Energy workers are working 24/7 to provide electricity to every home. Only together and with joint efforts we will endure and overcome these dark times!
