In the times of war, DTEK Odesa Grids is doing everything possible for Odesans and residents of the region to have heat and power supply in winter. In particular, it carries out scheduled repairs on the power facilities and implements grids upgrade projects.

Thus, since the beginning of 2024, the company has already repaired 685 substations and distribution points of various voltage class, 762 kilometers of the overhead power lines, cleared more than 1,400 kilometers of routes of the overhead power lines from shrub and drywood and modernized 3 high voltage power facilities.

Due to application of schedules of stabilization shutdowns, power equipment is wearing out and failing faster, therefore the volume of required repairs increases.

We are preparing for winter. We have already invested UAH 77 mln in routing and emergency repairs of power equipment. At the same time, the company continues to invest in stability of the grids and its development. Over the past six months, we spent more than UAH 500 mln on this package of measures. While the total sum of our investment program for this year amounts to more than UAH 1.1 billion,” – noted Dmytro Hryhoriev, CEO at DTEK Odesa Grids.

Energy workers also continue replacing obsolete meters of the region’s residents, which service life is expiring. They are replaced with the “smart” meters. In particular, energy workers have already replaced more than 23,000 of them in the first half of the year and plan to replace over 26 more thousand meters with the new ones by the end of the year.

In order to ensure the most efficient preparation for the 2024-2025 heating season, DTEK Odesa Grids urges service companies of the multi-appartement houses – housing offices, condominiums, managing companies – to inspect and, if possible, modernize their equipment (circuit breakers, fuses, wiring, switchboards, etc.), conduct required maintenance and eliminate possible malfunctions.
