Over 500 power facilities are operating again: the scope of grids restorations after hostilities in the Dnipropetrovsk region in 2025 have already matched last year’s — DTEK
From January to June 2025, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists managed to repair a total of 487 power lines with a length of over 1,800 km and 355 substations, and transformer and distribution points after enemy strikes.
“The enemy has intensified attacks on the Dnipropetrovsk region. While only half of the 2025 passed, the scope of grids, restored after shelling, almost matched the last year’s. Despite daily attacks, providing residents with electricity remains our primary task. Over these 6 months, our energy workers restored power supply to more than 1 million homes*. Unfortunately, the price of electricity can be too high – in February, an auto crane operator Hennadii Musatov was killed by shelling in Nikopol,” — noted DTEK Dnipro Grids CEO Andrii Tereshchuk.
Company’s repair crews commence work immediately after obtaining permission from the military and SES. Currently, 98% of all power facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which suffered destruction due to hostilities since February 24, 2022, have been repaired. The other 2% are impossible to repair yet due to the security situation and lack of required equipment.
Our energy workers are doing everything possible to provide electricity to every home.
