Bringing back light: In July, DTEK Donetsk Grids restored electricity to more than 300,000 homes after shelling

Despite constant danger due to the large-scale hostilities in the region and continuous shelling, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to conduct a number of repairs and restore power to residents of 146 settlements* in July, thus restoring electricity to more than 300,000 homes in the Donetsk region. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power supply in the frontline region once it becomes possible and the military provides permission for work performance. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, energy workers restored electricity to a cumulative total of 11.1 mln* families.

In July, the enemy continued to mercilessly shell the Donetsk region and attack it with drones, missiles and air strikes. The energy infrastructure suffered damage on a daily basis. Despite all difficulties, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to restore electricity to homes of 306,272 families in 146 settlements. 

Restoring electricity in the Donetsk region is becoming more and more difficult due to constant enemy attacks. Nevertheless, energy workers continue to work despite everything. Last week alone, specialists of the energy company restored electricity to more than 50,000 families in 28 settlements of the Donetsk region. 

The energy system of the region suffers constant damage due to the daily shelling. Energy workers’ crews come under fire more and more often too. Nevertheless, specialists of the energy company continue to work and will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have been working non-stop for 1,255 days now and repairing equipment and lines immediately once it becomes possible.
