Russian drone attacked the crew of DTEK Dnipro Grids energy workers during performance of emergency activities
At 17:55 on August 29, a drone hit the energy workers’ company car. The explosion burned the vehicle to the ground together with equipment and materials for repairs.
Fortunately, employees were not harmed – they managed to leave the car at the time of explosion.
“Energy workers risk their lives daily, repairing critical infrastructure to provide electricity to the residents of the region. DTEK Dnipro Grids condemns recent attack on the civil specialists and stresses the following: such actions are yet another russian war crime,” – underscored the company.
DTEK Dnipro Grids repair crews are regularly attacked by the enemy during performance of restoration activities in the areas close to the combat zone and temporarily occupied territories. Since the beginning of 2025 alone, two energy workers were wounded, another one was killed in the Dnipropetrovsk region during performance of their professional duties.
Despite the threats, specialists continue to tirelessly work on grids restoration – upon approval of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and SES.
