DTEK Donetsk Grids restored electricity to 12,000 families over the course of the day

Yesterday, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to restore power to 2 settlements, de-energized due to shelling, thus restoring access to electricity for 12,000 families. Energy workers commence repairs once the shelling subsides and the military provide permission for work performance.

On February 6, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to conduct a number of repairs and restore electricity to 2 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 12,000 families. 

The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult. Shelling, missile and air strikes continue. In particular, according to the head of the Donetsk region Vadym Filashkin, Lyman community alone was shelled 27 times yesterday. 

Constant shelling damages grids and equipment. Specialists of the energy company do not always have access to the work sites due to the security situation in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 714 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. More than 60 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region.
