DTEK Donetsk Grids restored electricity to 2,500 families

Over the course of the day, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews, with the permission of the military, were able to restore power to 1 settlement, de-energized due to shelling, thus restoring electricity to homes of 2,500 families. Energy workers commence repairs once the shelling subsides and the military provide permission for work performance.

On February 8, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists restored power to 1 more settlement, thus restoring electricity to homes of 2,530 families.

The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult. Shelling continues. According to the head of the region Vadym Filashkin, the enemy shelled settlements of the region 13 times yesterday.

Constant shelling damages grids and equipment. Specialists of the energy company do not always have access to the work sites due to the security situation in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 716 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. More than 60 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region.
