DTEK Donetsk Grids restored power to almost 16,000 families over the course of the day

On January 23, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore power to 38 settlements of the Donetsk region, affected by hostilities, thus restoring electricity to almost 16,000 families. Energy workers commence repairs immediately once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for work performance.

Yesterday, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews have repaired lines, damaged by shelling, and restored power to 38 settlements of the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to 15,959 families. 

The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult. According to the head of the region Vadym Filashkin, the enemy shelled settlements of the region 14 times over the course of the day. In particular, Kurakhove community was shelled 7 times. 

Constant shelling damage grids and equipment. Specialists of the energy company do not always have access to the work sites due to the security situation in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 700 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. More than 60 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region.
