DTEK Donetsk Grids restored electricity to more than 8,000 families over the course of two days

On July 19 and 20, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews, with the permission of the military, were able to conduct a number of repairs and restore electricity to 16 settlements, de-energized due to constant shelling of the region, thus restoring power to homes of more than 8,000 families. Specialists of the energy company commence repairs once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for performance of restoration activities.

Over the course of two days, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore electricity to residents of 16 settlements, thus restoring power to 8,428 families. 

Shelling of the Donetsk region continues. According to the Ministry of Defense, the enemy continues to concentrate main efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka and Kupiansk directions, where 32 clashes took place yesterday. 

Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 105 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 513 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
