Six employees of DTEK Dnipro Grids were awarded for professionalism and bravery after recent enemy attacks

On February 19, 6 employees of DTEK Dnipro Grids were celebrated in the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration. They received awards for their commitment to the profession and for prompt restoration of electricity to people after enemy attacks. Additionally, RMS presented awards to other energy and utility workers of Dnipro, Pavlohrad and Kryvyi Rih.

Since the beginning of a full-scale war, company’s specialists have been working in extreme conditions. Restoring the grids and providing electricity to residents of the region. 

Six employees of DTEK Dnipro Grids, who helped promptly eliminate consequences of recent rf attacks in Dnipro, Pavlohrad and Kryvyi Rih, were celebrated at the award ceremony in the RMA. Foremen and heads of local units Vitalii Zaliubivskyi, Andrii Krysenko, Serhii Nenashko, Yevhen Shmarkaiev, Serhii Hershun and Vadym Horbachov were recognized for their courage and professionalism in the most difficult times. Energy workers received honors and watches. 

“They find a way out of the most difficult situations. Take risks. Give themselves to work 24/7. All of it – to promptly bring light, heat and water back to the people after enemy attacks. Energy and utility workers. Our region is lucky to have these specialists. They are true professionals, – said head of the RMA Serhii Lysak. – I thank every hero of the home front personally and on behalf of the residents of the Dnipropetrovsk region.” 

DTEK Dnipro Grids is a foundation and support for normal life of the country and residents of the region. Especially now – during the war. We are proud of every energy worker, who support life of the region in these difficult conditions. They are an example of bravery and commitment to their profession. And their work not only provides the basic needs of people but is also an essential element of national security and independence. 

Let us note that this is not the first time that employees of DTEK Dnipro Grids receive state awards for their courage and commitment to their profession. In particular, during his visit to the Dnipropetrovsk region in September 2023 the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko presented certificates of honor and badges to four employees of the company that took part in restoration of the grids after enemy shelling. And in late December, on the occasion of a professional holiday, 52 employees of the company were awarded with honors, certificates and letters of acknowledgement from the President of Ukraine, Verkhovna Rada, Cabinet of Ministers, local authorities and the Ministry of Energy.
