Electricity restored to more than 2,000 families in the Donetsk region: DTEK Donetsk Grids continues to perform repairs after hostilities

On September 5, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to perform a number of repairs and restore electricity to homes of residents of 9 settlements, thus restoring power to more than 2,000 families in the Donetsk region. Specialists of the energy company continue to work and restore electricity in the region once it becomes possible in order to support residents in this difficult situation.

During the day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore electricity to 9 settlements, thus restoring power to 2,548 families in Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk and Bakhmut districts.

Shelling continues to destroy the grids. For instance, yesterday energy workers were able to restore electricity to almost 900 families in Bakhmut community and more than 700 families in Avdiivka community, where the situation is one of the most difficult according to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko. Power was also restored to almost 900 families in Marinka community. Besides, specialists of the energy company managed to work in Kostiantynivka and Toretsk communities.

90 settlements remain without electricity, as energy workers do not have a permit for work performance from the military and are unable to work there. The most difficult directions are Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk, Bakhmut and Sloviansk. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
