Electricity restored to more than 9,000 families: DTEK restored power to 32 settlements of the Donetsk region

On August 17, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore electricity to 32 settlements, thus restoring electricity to 9,139 families in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts.

Once again, energy workers, with the permission of the military, managed to work in the constantly shelled Bakhmut community, where power was restored to more than 3,000 families. According to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko, Bakhmut is one of the main directions of enemy’s offensive, thus it is one of the most shelled ones. Over the past three days, specialists of the energy company managed to restore electricity to more than 7,000 households in this community.

Besides, energy workers have also restored electricity to almost 5,000 families in Sloviansk community. The majority of these restorations were completed in less than 24 hours. However, almost a thousand of families had to wait for restoration of electricity for over two days, as energy workers could not access sites of grids damage due to hostilities.

Yesterday, specialists of the energy company have also worked in Toretsk, Selydove, Marinka, Kostiantynivka and Druzhkivka communities.

Active hostilities are underway in the Donetsk region. 93 settlements of the region remain without electricity, as energy workers do not have a permit for work performance from the military and are unable to work there. The most difficult directions are Sloviansk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka and Toretsk. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 176 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines again and again, as soon as it becomes possible.
