Light despite danger: energy workers of DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids were awarded the medal “For Courage”
The awarded:
- Oleksandr Seredenko, operational dispatch center crew electrician;
- Vadym Chuchman, operational dispatch center aerial platform operator.
This year, the crew, where the awarded energy workers work, performed over 500 field trips to perform routine work, eliminate emergencies and damages after russian attacks. During one of such trips on October 12, 2025, specialists received shrapnel wounds during elimination of an emergency at the substation. The drone attack occurred after the air alert stand-down. The crew’s prompt actions made it possible to restore power supply to almost 10,000 families.
“Despite all risks and danger, our energy workers continue to work to provide electricity to people’s homes, and to ensure the bright future for Ukrainians. Company’s specialists are eliminating damage on a daily basis and are doing everything possible to ensure the stability of the energy system. Company specialists are taking active part in restoration of the energy infrastructure after shelling, carrying out routine work and preparing the grids for going through the heating season in the conditions of war. Despite constant attacks, energy workers of DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids are doing everything possible to provide electricity to customers’ homes.
